BUSINESS LITIGATION

Most of Chris' time is spent right here...business litigation.  Chris has no fear and usually matters must be litigated.  Chris' clients are in the business to make money and keep the money they make.  Unfortunately, sometimes business owners aren't paid, shipments are held up or a contract has been breached.   That's where Chris can help.  Chris has experience in both federal and state court.

PATENT & TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT

Many clients would say this area of practice is Chris' bread and butter.  Several of Chris' business clients are manufactures and distributors and have their own patents.  In fact, one of Chris' clients holds more patents than any other person in Arkansas.  Chris has litigated patent infringement cases in California, Texas, Florida and Hong Kong.  Chris has secured millions of dollars in infringement damages for his clients.  Chris has extensive intellectual property experience in the personal protection and firearm industry.

STRUCTURED SETTLEMENT TRANSFERS

Some people in Arkansas have installment annuity contracts from previous settlements, jury awards or winning the lottery.  If Arkansans want to sell some of these future payments a petition must be filed in court along with a hearing.  This is where Chris comes in...Chris has represented numerous settlement transfer companies in the state of Arkansas.  He will travel anywhere in the state and he only charges one low-flat rate.  Chris has never had a petition denied.  Chris has this practice down to an art.

He personally handles these cases and the hearings with speed and efficiency.

CRIMINAL LAW

Although Business Law is Chris' main focus and specialty he sometimes must represent clients who have been charged with breaking the law.  Chris loves this area of practice and vigorously defends his clients. Chris has handled hundreds of criminal cases in state and federal courts. Currently, Chris serves as a part-time public defender in Pulaski County to aid with the backlog of criminal cases as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic.
